Accounting for 10% nationwide! Four Jiaxing companies listed on Forbes

Recently, Forbes China released the "2024-2025 Sustainable Development Industrial Enterprises" list, with a total of 40 companies selected for the main list. Four companies from Jiaxing—Zhenshi Holding Group Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co., Ltd., Satellite Chemical Co., Ltd., and Chint New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.—made the list, accounting for 10% of the national 40 spots, demonstrating remarkable strength.

Industrial enterprises serve as a window to observe economic operations. These "top performers" are also indicators to understand economic changes. Four industrial enterprises have achieved deep integration of technological innovation and green manufacturing, enhancing economic resilience. Jiaxing stands out with solid strength, advancing towards becoming a strong city of high-end, intelligent, and green manufacturing innovation.

This selection focused on five dimensions: "sustainable development management system, transformational technological innovation, sustainable development practices, long-term economic growth, and industry influence." From thousands of companies, 40 were chosen for the main list, showcasing the depth and breadth of industrial green transformation with a diversified lineup spanning over 10 sub-sectors. Among these 40 companies, new energy and high-end manufacturing enterprises account for more than 50%. The four Jiaxing companies cover strategic emerging fields such as new energy and new materials, performing outstandingly. Inside the fabric workshop of Zhenshi Co., Ltd.'s new materials industrial park, rows of multi-axial weaving machines are operating at full speed. These fabric products will be applied to the world's longest onshore wind turbine blades. In the photovoltaic frame production workshop, black composite frames are orderly coming off the line. These frames have only 15% of the carbon emissions of traditional photovoltaic frames and can meet application needs in various photovoltaic scenarios such as offshore, desert, rooftop, and lake surfaces.

This industrial park has established a "30-minute local procurement circle," with over 90% of raw materials sourced locally from Tongxiang, greatly shortening the logistics chain and reducing the "carbon emission footprint." Zhenshi's sustainable exploration goes beyond this. Looking up from the workshop, rows of photovoltaic panels are arrayed, converting solar energy into clean electricity. This is the largest single distributed photovoltaic rooftop parking lot in Tongxiang, effectively alleviating the pressure of peak electricity use during summer heat and achieving a closed-loop operation of energy saving and carbon reduction.

"We support and promote enterprises to carry out clean production transformation according to the national encouraged clean production technologies, processes, equipment, and product guidance catalog, vigorously promoting water-saving processes and technologies such as efficient cooling, washing, recycled water use, wastewater regeneration, and replacement of high water-consuming production processes," said a relevant official from the Jiaxing Economic and Information Technology Bureau. Behind the "two transformations" is not only the vitality of enterprise development bursting from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing," but also the development from "intelligence" to "quality." Looking to the future, Jiaxing is fostering more "digital" and "green" enterprises to emerge and stride forward on the path of high-quality development.
